Styling With Vintage

A look inside FRĒDA's vintage curation with Trove Sonoma.

Over 8 years ago I made a promise to myself to only purchase vintage, consigned or small, slow fashion brands. I also love supporting friends brands, especially female founded. This decision has definitely influenced my personal style. It’s helped me curate a closet of things that mean a lot to me. Each piece unique, having it’s own story.

This January FRĒDA is launching a small capsule of leftover leather footwear styles and in celebration, we caught up with our friends Rayna and Lauren, co-founders of Trove Sonoma and curated a selection of vintage pieces to style our FRĒDA campaign and sell online. Here’s an inside look at my day at Trove, behind-the-scenes at our shoot and some of our favorite shots of the day. Shoes and vintage will be live on FRĒDA SALVADOR late January.

Pull Day: Trove Sonoma

Trove is located right on the square of beautiful, downtown Sonoma, CA.

It was so fun to try everything on to think through the final curation and looks for our campaign shoot.

It was so hard not to want everything. Lots of restraint happening here!

These varsity sweaters are so much fun, especially with a concert tee.

How cool is she? This is Lauren, co-founder of Trove in the coolest suit and our BROOKE boots.

Rayna…she is the best best best. She was a stylist in NYC before moving back to her hometown of Sonoma. Her eye for vintage is my favorite. Unique, but always elevated.
