Traveling to brand new, inspiring places and feeling like I am wearing the same thing over and over definitely affects my mood. I don’t feel creative, expressive or simply… like myself. Work trips to Milan and Spain put the added pressure of feeling good, but also looking professional. I have learned that the balance of more neutral staples, mixed with bolder, more interesting pieces can take me a pretty long time on the road without losing my myself and the fun of getting dressed everyday.
My FRĒDA SERA fisherman sandals in stucco suede with studs and our new ELODIE crescent bag in bone calf are all I need in the shoe/bag category. They both offer the style and function necessary to walk miles and miles while looking/feeling elevated and interesting.

Comfort is key, but that doesn’t mean literal sweats. These silk pants are perfect and I can dress them up later in the trip.
A silk/lace trimmed skirt with a tee is casual, but polished for a day in the city, then add an interesting button up and fun jewelry at night.
A crochet button up with denim shorts is fun and interesting to explore during the day and then a quick change to a simple pointelle white tee and oversized lightweight blazer with the denim shorts at night feels refined. I chose a looser, longer more Bermuda style denim short so I can dress them up or down.
Nothing is better or easier than a simple, but cool-in-the-details dress. During the day, just alone with a killer shoe/bag combo and then at night I love it with an unbuttoned loose shirt and jewelry.
Cool and comfortable; and elevated. A very of-the-moment boxer short with a more ornate lace blouse. Perfect for hotter days. At night I would throw on the lightweight blazer to add one more layer of interest. I like the blazer/boxer combo a lot. It has a good personality! I am leaning more on my shoes and bag in these looks. The silver studs add a lot of muscle.
Must also add an armful of friendship bracelets :) I love this dress so much, especially with the pointelle baby tee underneath. The track suit jacket layer on top or around my waist adds a playful vibe for the concert.
I have worn this dress already, but today I like the idea of wearing the crochet shirt on top, unbuttoned, so it’s just a colorful, texture layer of interest and color. I like this look a lot for hotter climates.
Beach town ready with my LOF bathing suit worn as a body suit with the boxers and unbuttoned shirt. I take off the suit, button the top and throw on the bermuda denim shorts for a laid back, but beautiful evening look. This would be for a coastal dinner vibe. Casual but elevated.
I have worn all three of these pieces by now, but never together, so it feels fresh and interesting and definitely cool enough for hot summer temps while exploring the wine region of portugal. I like the mis-matched print for day and adding a polished, but loose blazer at night.
Sporty, fun and comfortable. Great for exploring day-to-night. I have worn all of these pieces already, but together this feels fresh. I like the mixing of primary colors trend that is happening right now, so the skirt with the jacket are a fun combo.
I wore this dress with the baby tee under it for the concert, but I love that when paired with the (unbuttoned) crochet top it has a whole other vibe. Kind of like a mixing of tomboy and feminine. This whole look could take me from day-to-night.
